Calgary, Alberta – Imperial is proud to announce the opening its 50th Mobil 1 Lube Express location in Canada, with the landmark installer site to be in Calgary, Alberta. The first Canadian Mobil 1 Lube Express opened in 2009 in Sarnia, Ontario.

Upon entering the Canadian market, Mobil 1 Lube Express operations have steadily evolved and grown. To facilitate the in-country progress, Imperial developed a value proposition kit for operators where distributors were actively retrained on the diversity of the Imperial family of products. Combined, the operator kit and distributor retraining increased the ability of Mobil 1 Lube Express to meet customer needs for car maintenance.

According to a recent piece in National Oil & Lube News, in Canada, drivers average 7,488 kilometers between oil changes. According to total sales figures by motor oil type, conventional oil is the most popular, accounting for nearly 50 percent of all oil changes in the country. The typical fast lube business in Canada services an average of over 46 vehicles per day, with an average of over 42 oil changes performed.

“We are proud to be celebrating the fiftieth Mobil 1 Lube Express location opening in Canada,” said Nadeem Dhalla, national account executive, Imperial. “The consistent growth that we’ve seen across the country shows that the Mobil 1 Lube Express customer experience is very positive and that we’re meeting those consumer needs.  We are confident our ability to service cars in Canada will only be improved in the coming years and we look forward to celebrating the opening of the 100th location.”
